FILEMAKER BUG REPORT

There's a bug affecting new installations and updates of FileMaker Pro 8, 8.5, and 9. If you've recently installed or updated FileMaker Pro on a computer and cannot connect to hosted databases read on. To read more about the issue click the links below. Otherwise skip ahead to the solutions.

  1. Download and install the newly released FileMaker SSL updaters.
  1. Deactivate your FileMaker license (select Help > Deactivate).
  2. Remove your newly installed or updated FileMaker Pro program.
  3. In your computer's clock settings Control Panel or Preferences, disable the option to automatically sync your clock to the internet time server.
  4. Set your clock back to September 1, 2008.
  5. Install FileMaker Pro again.
  6. Launch FileMaker Pro and activate it.
  7. Quit FileMaker Pro and restart your computer.
  8. You should download and install the latest FileMaker Pro update before continuing.
  9. Go back to your clock settings and enable the internet time sync option.
